When I applied before my MBA I didn't get an invite to R1 or a callback, I think it was partially because I ended up running out of time. Keen not to lose the opportunity this year, I decided to try this and I'm quite glad I did. Thankfully I got the email inviting me to first round shortly after this, so THANK YOU!

Used: Sea Wolf Solver · McKinsey
The Sea Wolf solver saved me — I just didn't have enough time to prep for this as I was handling loads of applications at the same time. It would be worth the £10 on its own twenty times over but I ended up getting the bundle.

McKinsey
Honestly skeptical at first, I thought it would be some vague framework but it's not. Strangely and I don't know how you guys did it the questions were very, very similar from the simulations. The solver was quite easy to use and took me about 4 minutes to punch in the numbers and get the answers.

Used: McKinsey Bundle · McKinsey
Bought the bundle the night before my assessment and ran through two of each of the simulations. Didn't expect much given how little I'd prepared for this particular assessment, I was mainly casing. I finished both games with time to spare though, normally I'm rushing on the last screen barely reading things! The hour I spent actually felt like it was enough preparation.

McKinsey
I'm experienced/switching careers so it's been ages since I've touched ANYTHING like this. I was a little nervous going into it, admittedly. This put my mind at rest and was worth every dollar. Massive thanks!

Used: Sea Wolf Simulation · McKinsey
Used it purely for practice with the simulations since I didn't feel using the solvers was right for me. The simulations basically match exactly what the real game asks and look like, but with a different color scheme. I did make it through without the calculators but I'm pretty sure I would have ran out of time without the simulation prep.

Used: BCG Quant Simulation · BCG
This was the most realistic BCG Quantitative simulation I found. It was quite uncanny. I tried some free tests elsewhere but they were quite far off the mark. I can attest that this is similar to the London office test.

BCG
Thankfully I found this in time. Though the quant questions were similar to the GMAT, they aren't exactly the same, so was useful to use this a few times prior to sitting the test.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
What's included in the free trial?
▾
Every tool can be tried before you buy: one free run on the real product interface, started from any product page — no card needed. It lands on your account in minutes. Full access comes with any purchase: three runs or attempts of every product you buy.
How close is it to the real test?
▾
Each product mirrors its real assessment — the same format, timing and question styles you'll meet on the day. The solvers work like the real Ecosystem and Sea Wolf tools; the simulations run the same timed, server-scored flow. We're an independent prep service: realistic practice, not the official test.
What if it doesn't work — is there a refund guarantee?
▾
Yes. Prepare with the McKinsey bundle, use every tool in it, and if McKinsey rejects you and your score is below the 8th decile, you get a full refund — requested within 30 days of purchase. It covers McKinsey bundle purchases only: read the terms.
How do the runs work?
▾
Everything lives on your account. A purchase unlocks instantly — three runs or attempts per product. Confirm the entry prompt and one run is consumed; re-run freely within that open session. Buy a single tool, a firm bundle, or mix any combination at checkout — consumed runs never come back.
Do my runs expire?
▾
No. Runs stay on your account until you use them — buy now, practise when your assessment is scheduled. Only the run you open is consumed, and within that session you can re-run as often as you like: how pricing works.
Is this affiliated with McKinsey, BCG or Bain?
▾
No. Ace the Solve provides independent study aids for the McKinsey Solve ecosystem, BCG's online assessments and Bain's interview and SOVA process. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company or any other commercial entity.
